Senior Editor’s Note
Sweet summer is finally here! Not quite sure what it is, perhaps an overdose of cold Gatorade on a hot day, but something very unique happens during summer months, the clock slows down a little bit, and people overall take on a more laid back attitude—a much needed adjustment for our busy often times bulli-esh community.
Whether summer means complete careless freedom or simply the opportunity to bask in the sun here and there, I encourage you to take advantage of the summer, whichever way you can.
I don’t know about you, but I usually have a mental summer-wish-list that includes all the amazing things I intend to do over the summer months. It ranges anywhere from taking salsa classes to washing my car and even going white water rafting (a must if you’ve never done it!).
But somehow when summer rolls around, I usually hit the beach with a vengeance at first and once my sunshine-craving has been satiated, I find myself doing the usual three things over and over again—going to the movies, hanging out with friends, and eating at the same restaurants. Ironically, I manage to forget my incredible master plan and find myself scrambling through magazines and websites to figure out cool new things to do.
This summer though, all that is about to change! I accidentally stumbled onto SuperViva.com. With “make a life list and live a full life” as its tagline, this site is a dream come true for anyone, who like me, has self diagnosed themselves with OCD and ADD.
SuperViva helps you to make a list of everything you’ve ever contemplated doing in your lifetime. The site gives you the option to set deadlines or leave your list open ended—a sigh of relief for all the procrastinators out there. Now whenever I have an idea of something I really want to do, this summer or someday, I log on the site and add it to my life list. I can stay organized, motivated and best of all never forget a cool idea!

I also love the fact that I can keep track of my goals no matter how big or small they are. My current list right now includes, learning to change a tire, experiencing weightlessness, and zorbing (rolling downhill in a huge plastic ball) in Colorado. With cool tools like their check off list, I can tangibly see how far I’ve come along and even share my life list with friends. And if I draw a blank—a usual for me—the site has tons of categories to inspire.
Of course, this issue of OUTLOUD has loads of music reviews and indie movies to add to your summer wish list, but if you need additional help in making the most of your summer, I recommend checking out SuperViva.com. Let’s get busy…having fun!
