Loudermilk
Alternative-Signed-Washington
I have been on this awful Dawson’s Creek kick ever since this summer. I am lost within a 90s realm I can’t seem to get out of. Actually, to be quite honest with you, I am not sure that I want to and because of this I have fallen victim to Loudermilk. They appeared as a musical guest in season 6. Though the band had a name change to Gosling and broke up in 2006, I can’t shake this incredible feeling I get every time I listen to their album, The Red Record. I close my eyes and head bang when their tunes get thunderous and rapid, but when it begins to slow down I waltz aimlessly around my apartment. I can’t describe the feeling they evoke, but I always feel rejuvenated and inspired. This is what music is supposed to do to you!

Jack White
Blues Rock- Signed-Detroit
You more than likely know him as the vocalist and guitarist for White Stripes and his occasional acting on the big screen. White released his debut solo album, Blunderbuss, in April of this year, 2012. If you haven’t listened to this album YOU ARE MISSING OUT. This record is insanely, mind-blowing. Yes, the description needed that redundant adverb because it’s that good! I find myself wearing daisy dukes and cowboy boots almost every day, driving with my windows down with a cigarette in hand with this album viciously beating through the speakers of my car; feeling the sun beating against my skin and the wind in my hair is ever so serene. White’s tunes make me feel feral and sexy. “Love Interruption” has become my summer song. Though the lyrics start off distressing it evolves powerfully, leaving me to only move on. I had my heart pulled out and ruthlessly stomped on this summer and this song only left me forever saying “I won’t let love disrupt, corrupt or interrupt me.”
