Not many festivals have a worldwide renowned status attached to them. Music festivals are often come and go and it is difficult to make the perfect lineup. Location also plays an epic factor; most people do not want to go to the back country of a little named town for a festival; However, Bonnaroo seemed to have turned all those negatives into positives.
Taking place on a farm in a little town named Manchester, Tennessee on June 11-14th, Bonnaroo is back with a 13th installment and is showing no sign of holding back. The diverse and almost perpetual lineup seems to be going stronger than ever. Headliners of all genres like Billy Joel, Kendrick Lamar, Deadmau5, and the return of the metal deity known as Slayer will all be playing on “the farm.”
There are also the new and less stardom struck performers as well, especially in the electronic scene. Flying Lotus, Tycho, Bassnectar, Caribou, Gramitk, Odesza, Flume, STS9, Jamie XX and more will grazing the farm with profound sounds, visuals, and overall electronic debauchery. Even the performers are excited to attend Bonnaroo with Bassnectar praising the festival via Facebook
One reason that makes the people keep coming back with their free spirit attached is the endless amount of activities that take place. Yoga, camping, and a comedy house all will be available to the attendees. All 100,000+ of them.
Bonnaroo is not only a festival, but a demanding experience. It puts the city folk outside of their comfort zone by camping or spending money on backwoods motel rooms; However, most do not mind. It is truly a one of a kind experience that free sprits, yogis, and, of course, music lovers cherish the most.
Tickets are still available but limited. The cheapest general admission ticket is now at $325
