Abel Tesfaye, known on stage as The Weeknd, has been around longer than most people know. Active since 2010, The Weeknd has championed the underground R&B scene, piquing interest with a handful of mixtapes, many of which were critically acclaimed. Yet it wasn’t until 2015 that The Weeknd became a household name with his top singles of the year (“Can’t Feel My Face”, “The Hills”, and “Earned It”) off his second album, Beauty Behind the Madness. With this trio, The Weeknd held a record-breaking top three spots on the Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart while Beauty Behind the Madness reached the number one spot on the Billboard 200.

Producing his own beats by the age of 16, Travi$ Scott was collaborating with the likes of Mike Dean and Kanye West just a few years later. But besides West, Scott’s influences range from M.I.A. to Toro Y Moi to Bon Iver, making for a combination unique to typical rap music. From humble beginnings on MySpace to selling 700,000 copies of his latest album, Rodeo, during its first week, Scott is well-deserving of sharing arena stages with The Weeknd on this tour.

2015 saw Halsey’s momentous rise to fame, from the release of her debut full-length, Badlands, to sold out shows on the accompanying tour. With a darker-than-radio-pop sound, Halsey bares her brain through her storyteller lyrics and minimalistic sound, calling to the most raw and instinctual parts of her listeners. Halsey, already both infamous and famous, is ready to take the world by storm – she’s a “Hurricane”.

This show should not be overlooked, especially not with such a diverse line-up. Resale tickets are still on sale, but the show is less than a month away. Don’t make the mistake of missing out.
