Sunday, June 16, 2019, is Father’s Day and if you still don’t have a gift don’t you panic, we have some ideas you might want to consider.
Although it’s a challenge to shop for a loved one, people find it easier to shop for dad because “anything” will work for him, right? We don’t particularly break our head thinking about what to buy him because he never complains or gives you the “look.” You know that lovely, yet fake look mom gives you when she’s not pleased with what you gave her for Mother’s Day or her birthday… yeah.
Men are usually more relaxed about gifts; nevertheless, that’s no reason to slack, especially on Father’s Day. So here are some ideas that can impress dad:
For the dad on the go, a pair of wireless earbuds, a portable charger, a charging dock or a tumbler for his morning coffee is a must. If you are an Amazon Prime member, you can get two-day delivery on qualifying items and have it home just in time for the celebration. If you don’t have prime, you can always make a run to Target, Walmart, Best Buy or any retail store that carries those items and more. You might end up finding something more fitting.
For the more conservative/traditional dad, a good book, a pair of socks, a new tie or the same old blue dress shirt he asks for every year would do just fine. Many clothing stores are having great sales for the upcoming holiday. Macy’s is having a major sale for Father’s Day with up to 70 percent discounted items. Other stores like Ross, Marshalls, and Khols have discounts year-round.
For the edgier/younger dad, a cool pair of fashion snickers, training shoes, a graphic tee or a pair of sunglasses will make the cut. This category may seem a little pricey, but nowadays you can find many inexpensive brands that can totally imitate high-end items at decent prices. Outlet malls are great for finding bargains.
If you are in the mood for making this year’s celebration more memorable, you can get creative and put something together yourself. Since there are many ideas online, the hardest thing would be to decide which one he would love and you can get done. For this category, narrowing your options down to a top three favorites would be a great help.
A beer/wine bouquet, coupon book, picture frame, favorite treat box or a DIY shirt will make him smile. The Dollar Tree store, Michaels or your local craft store would be your allies for this one.
If you didn’t find anything that really screamed dad or you didn’t have the money to buy a present, it won’t matter because at the end of the day it all comes down to enjoying the day with him and making him feel special. Take this opportunity to show him appreciation. Remember time is priceless, so make sure you spend quality time with him. It will fill his heart with bliss.
